We are very proud to present our first TRANSIT Map, in honor of this year’s Chicago Artist Month theme, “Art Block by Block.” Throughout October, you may pick up one of the 1,000 printed copies at the participating businesses on the Map, or other local places you find it. You may download the complete version PDF of the Map here, or the one-page full size JPG of the Map here.
And don’t forget to cut out your TRANSIT Card (on the bottom right of each Map), and get it filled out at eight locations throughout October, to be entered for prizes! More details about the TRANSIT Card here.
Thirty-seven local visual artists and studios, and seventeen local businesses are shown on the Map, beginning to give a clear look at just how much arts activity is going on in Logan Square/Avondale. We hope you check it out this October. The Hairpin Arts Center is presenting “AREA: A Survey Show of Logan Square and Avondale Vicinity Artists” based on our Map. Their opening reception is Thursday Oct 4th, 6-9pm (exhibition runs Oct 4-28).

Beauty & Brawn Art Gallery and Think Space (#1 on the Participating Businesses) was inadvertently misspelled, including their website.
